Axiom Verge glitches onto PlayStation 4 on March 31

Indie developer Tom Happ has completed work on the first iteration of his Metroidvania known as Axiom Verge. The game is now set to release on PlayStation 4 on March 31 and to commemorate this moment, he's detailing a few more of the items that players can expect to find in this Metroid-inspired adventure.

Some of the weapons will be fairly standard damage-dealers. The Nova is a slower weapon that will devastate targets, with a secondary fire function that splits its shots in six different directions. The Drill helps burrow through portions of the world to open up new areas. And then there's the Address Disruptor, which takes advantage of Axiom Verge's standout quality: its glitches. The Address Disruptor reveals the world's glitches and allows players to use them to open up completely new areas, as well as affect enemies in different ways.

After this quick briefing, Happ delivered the exciting news of the game's upcoming PlayStation 4 release date to fans. He also noted on PlayStation.Blog that the game's Vita version is not quire ready, but it will be available for cross-buy the moment it's completed.
