WWE 2K15 re-enters Mark Henry's Hall of Pain with new 2K Showcase DLC

With WWE 2K15, 2K Sports has started placing more of an emphasis on reliving quality WWE storylines of recent years. This dive into recent nostalgia is emerging once more with today's release of the latest 2K Showcase DLC called "Hall of Pain."

WWE fans are very familiar with the sudden rise of "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. A mostly-inconsequential player until 2011, Henry was suddenly positioned as a brutal killer, taking out vaunted big men Big Show and Kane and sending them off to the injured list, which Henry dubbed his "Hall of Pain." After a brief feud with Irish brawler Sheamus, Henry rode his unstoppable momentum to a World Heavyweight Championship match with then-champion Randy Orton. The 2K Showcase DLC will include this entire storyline, as well as playable 2011 versions of Mark Henry, Big Show, Kane, Jey and Jimmy Uso, Sheamus, The Great Khali, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and Ryback. Players will also get access to the SmackDown and Vengeance arenas from 2011 and the Wrestlemania 29 arena.

This follows up on the earlier 2K Showcase DLC release re-enacting the "One More Match" storyline that saw Christian finally reach the top of the WWE mountain after 15 years with the company, only to fall just days later to Randy Orton. This DLC includes 2011 versions of Christian, Randy Orton, Edge, Mark Henry, and Sheamus, along with 2011-era SmackDown, Extreme Rules, Over the Limit, and Capitol Punishment arenas.

The "Hall of Pain" and "One More Match" 2K Showcase DLC packs are avaiable for $9.99 each. Both are also a part of the WWE 2K15 Season Pass.
