Project CARS staying in pit road until April 2

mercredi 18 février 2015

Project CARS has stalled at the starting gate and will not make its previously-issued March 17 release date. Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios need a little more time in the garage, so the next-gen racer will hit PC on April 2. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will start their engines a few days later on April 7.

Slightly Mad is citing the need for some final tweaks to the game before sending it off to users. It's very similar to the reasoning given by the studio the first time the game was originally delayed to March. Project CARS had previously been scheduled to release in late 2014.

Even with the delays, Project CARS is still boasting some impressive visuals, the kind that helped push it to success via its own crowdsourcing portal. Racers will be able to determine for themselves whether Slightly Mad's game can live up to the hype when it arrives in April. Project CARS is also expected to hit Wii U and Steam OS, though release windows for those versions were not given.
