Windows 10 launches on July 29; opens up registrations for free copies

Microsoft has announced Windows 10 will be available starting on July 29.

Windows 10 will be offered as a free upgrade for those who own Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, as long as they didn’t pirate their copy of Microsoft’s operating system. For those who plan on downloading Windows 10 as soon as it becomes available to them, Microsoft has released a new taskbar app that should be available for those eligible for the upgrade. All you have to do is click on Windows icon, input your email address, and you’ll be prompted when Windows 10 is available to download.

Windows 10 was announced to be releasing this summer in a number of software variations and will have some impressive features like the ability to stream games from the Xbox One to any PC or tablet. In fact, Microsoft has released a trailer with today’s announcement which highlights a number of features we can expect in Windows 10.
