Microsoft will be implementing the Xbox One’s ability to stream its content on Windows 10 machines in its May system update.
The streaming feature is tucked away in the Xbox One system preferences as an option to “allow game streaming to other devices.” The option, which is listed as being in beta, appears to be included in the Xbox One’s Preview Program, which often contains features Microsoft is testing out to a minority of console owners prior to launching to the vast majority.
Earlier this year, Microsoft announced Windows 10 will be able to stream Xbox One games across traditional PCs and tablets. At the time, Forza Horizon 2 was shown streaming from a Surface Pro 3 and will allow PC users to be able to access their console without having to be in the same room as it. Windows 10 will also be releasing this summer, which gives validity to the timing of the Xbox One receiving streaming capability in May.
