Amplitude's multiplayer mode shown off in its first gameplay trailer

lundi 2 mars 2015

It’s been several months since we last heard from Harmonix regarding its fan-funded cult classic, Amplitude. With GDC going on this week and Pax East right around the corner, the developer thought now would be a good time to pull back the veil of secrecy just a bit more.

In a blog post published on PlayStation.Blog, Harmonix art director Ryan Lesser reveals some new information regarding Amplitude. One new feature that will be coming to Amplitude is multiplayer, which is a first for the series. Amplitude will allow a classic Free-For-All Multiplayer mode as well as a Team Play mode to be played, both of which Harmonix is hoping will be fun to play during a party as well as potentially be used within a competitive gaming scene.

In addition to its reveal of multiplayer in Amplitude, Harmonix has also published the first gameplay trailer of the game in action. Fans of the original Amplitude will certainly feel at home with the looks and gameplay mechanics of the new version. The video also gives us a glimpse of some of the multiplayer mayhem we can expect when the game releases some time later this year.
