The future of Nvidia’s GPU lineup is here, well sort of. Today Jen-Hsun Huang rushed the stage at the Epic Games GDC event to announce the Titan X, Nvidia’s latest GPU. Huang claims it is the most powerful GPU to ever hit the market with a 12GB frame buffer, and 8 billion transistors. On paper it is – in fact – a hugely significant step forward for Nvidia as the Titan used to be the company’s most powerful hardware. There haven’t been any complete specs announced for the card, however, it is being used to power a powerful VR experience titled ‘Thief in the Shadows’ at this year’s Game Development Conference.
